Today is a new day for Mennonite Urban Ministries, doing urban ministry, Anabaptist in character, inspired in the Spirit of Christ. In this day, we have acted together and:

• Established a physical ministry center: at [address] where Anabaptist ministries in the urban region may locate and collaborate.

The following agencies will reside at this address, served by a common receptionist and techology services and supported in their ministries by the MUM churches.

• Mountain States Mennonite Conference
• Mennonite Voluntary Service (West Regional Office)
• Mennonite Mission Network (West Regional Office)
• VORP of Denver
• Mennonite Urban Ministries / Joseph Storehouse Grants for local ministries

We wish to continue this work by

• Creating a leadership board comprised of representatives from participating programs and congregations
• Establishing a creative planning group to dream and originate new ministry initiatives in the Anabaptist Christian way of transformation and peace for all people
• Developing educational opportunities for congregations, pastoral leadership, and community outreach
• Providing cooperative low-cost housing and business incubation spaces

Capital campaign goal: $1,500,000; Occupancy of expanded multiple use building in Fall/Winter 2009
